Hurricane Relief

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, musicians far and wide pitched in to aid the relief effort. Some in the Houston area, like BeatKing and Devante, actually went out rescuing stranded individuals. Texas Tales: South Park Coalition

South Park Coalition, the legendary collective of Houston hip-hop artists, was created in 1986 by K-Rino when he wanted to unite the talent in his South Park neighborhood of Houston. Now, some 30 years later, the coalition has become an important symbol of Houston's hip-hop scene - both artistically and professionally. On July 29, at Warehouse Live in Houston, the group reunited for its 30-year anniversary party, which attracted a packed house of longtime - and new - fans.
